What we found
- The assessment records a major accident and poor repairs; factory seams are disturbed, including around the boot floor
- Signs that an airbag cover has been opened
- The brake pedal is soft, sinks and pulsates under braking
- Jerking under load, a burnt-oil smell and oil seepage around the sump
- Gears are difficult to engage or grind; vibration under acceleration, pulling to the right and a front right knock
- Damaged front left CV boot; a headlamp and the alternator belt need replacing
Inspector's conclusion
We advised against buying. The recorded 88,000 km did not offset the consequences of a major accident, poor repairs and brake problems. At an asking price of €5,900, the findings involved body structure, safety and engine operation.
